Big Picture Contest

What is this eye-shaped building in the desert?

This is the Rani Ratnavali School in rural Jaisalmer, built using traditional techniques which makes air conditioning irrelevant. This architectural marvel was designed by a US architect, Michael Daube, the land given by Jaisalmer Foundation led by Manvendra Singh, and funding from a mix of royals, Bollywood stars and designers. To some, the design is said to symbolize womanhood across many cultures. The mix of traditional and the modern in a yellow sandstone building makes air conditioning irrelevant.
